Subset of one or more entities.

Notes

• A sample may be spatial, temporal, spectral, or in any other dimension or Trait.
• Each sample is contiguous, i.e. it does not consist of more than one discontinuous geometry in any dimension.
• The Process of obtaining a sample is called sampling.
